Made To Parlay ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Made To Parlay mobile application and the madetoparlay.com website (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our Service.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

  • Email address
  • Display name
  • Timezone
  • Authentication provider data (Apple ID or Google account identifier)

Game Data

  • Task descriptions and completion data you enter
  • Game performance data (scores, records, standings)
  • Opponent persona names you create
  • Season configuration preferences

Purchase Information

  • Subscription status and type
  • In-app purchase history
  • Payment processing is handled entirely by Apple, Google, or Stripe — we do not store credit card numbers

Technical Data

  • Device type and operating system version
  • App version
  • Crash reports and performance metrics
  • Push notification token (if notifications are enabled)

3. How We Use Your Data

  • Game operation: Running your seasons, generating opponent scores, calculating standings, and delivering the core game experience
  • AI commentary generation: Your game data is sent to our AI provider to generate personalized commentary, Coach insights, and season recaps
  • Analytics: Understanding how the game is played to improve the experience
  • Notifications: Sending pregame and postgame push notifications (maximum 2 per day)
  • Support: Responding to your questions and troubleshooting issues

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Apple Sign-In — Authentication
  • Google Sign-In — Authentication
  • Stripe — Payment processing for web subscriptions
  • Together AI — Large language model provider for AI commentary and Coach insights
  • Expo Push Notifications — Delivering push notifications to your device
  • Hetzner — Infrastructure provider for database and application hosting (servers located in Germany and Finland)

Each third-party service has its own privacy policy governing how they handle your data. We only share the minimum data necessary for each service to function.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in PostgreSQL databases hosted on Hetzner servers located in the EU and US. We use industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and implement appropriate access controls to protect your data at rest.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

Account Deletion

You can delete your account from the app at any time via Profile → Delete Account. When you request deletion:

  • Your account is immediately soft-deleted and no longer accessible
  • You have a 30-day grace period to cancel the deletion by contacting us
  • After 30 days, all data is permanently and irreversibly deleted, including all seasons, tasks, scores, personas, commentary, and account information

Data Export

You can export all of your data as a JSON file from the app at any time via Profile → Export Data. The export includes all seasons, tasks, scores, standings, and persona data associated with your account.

7. Children's Privacy

Made To Parlay is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will promptly delete that information. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at privacy@madetoparlay.com .

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Export your data in a portable format
  • Object to or restrict certain processing of your data

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in the app and updating the "Last updated" date above.
